Graduate Civil Engineer
Key accountabilities, objectives, and candidate requirements for a graduate-level civil engineering role on major UK infrastructure projects.
Key Accountabilities
* Understand and comply with Company Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Sustainability Systems and Policies
* Assist Site Engineers in accurate setting out and control of works, undertaking setting out under supervision of Section/Senior Engineer
* Gain experience of Company HSEQ systems and participate in related tasks
* Participate in materials sampling and testing
* Carry out any other duties assigned by line manager for the benefit of the site
Key Objectives
* Undertake instrument checks on setting out equipment and maintain records of such checks
* Maintain drawing registers
* Set out the works
* Maintain as built record drawings of completed works
* Maintain records of labour, plant and materials used in the works
* Undertake material reconciliations
* Read and understand method statements
* Check material deliveries for compliance with contract requirements
* Carry out material sampling
About You
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline
* Organised with good attention to detail
* Proactive, reliable, and keen to develop professionally
* Basic understanding of engineering principles, standards, and best practices
* Awareness of health, safety and quality requirements within an engineering environment
* Full UK Driving Licence – may be required to travel to other sites or offices
