Job Description:
Here at The Mick George Group, we are looking for Plant Operators/Labourers to join the team at our Husbands Bosworth site.
Job Overview: To operate plant and machinery to assist with the retrieval of minerals and profiling of ground to the required level.
Any other duties required in the day-to-day running of the quarry/landfill as deemed necessary by a site supervisor/manager.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out daily/weekly maintenance checks of the mobile & fixed plant to the necessary standard.
* Perform daily/weekly maintenance tasks, including greasing and cleaning equipment.
* Report defects to site management/workshop using the R2C app.
* Control the quality of products and follow plant GPS to achieve required ground levels.
* Perform other duties related to the quarry as requested by a supervisor/manager.
* Accurately record working hours on timesheets and submit weekly.
* Log production data, plant stoppages, breakdowns, and logs correctly.
* Inform management of materials unsuitable for production.
* Understand procedures for breakdowns to minimize downtime.
* Highlight training needs to line management, especially for legislative requirements.
* Conduct oneself safely and professionally, maintaining site cleanliness and safety standards.
* Maintain regular contact with site management.
Skills/Qualifications:
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience on Dozer, 360 Excavator, or Dump Truck (minimum 5 years)
* Hardworking nature
* Experience with GPS (machine control)
