Located in the heart of Halewood, this is a welcoming school that caters to children aged 3–11. As a KS1 Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to Year 1 or Year 2 pupils, covering for staff absence or short-term vacancies. You will be expected to follow the school’s schemes of work and maintain high standards of teaching and learning in line with school policies. A key part of the role will be delivering daily phonics sessions and ensuring all children make progress in core subjects, while also supporting their social and emotional development. You will manage behaviour in line with the school’s positive behaviour policy and be confident in creating a calm, focused learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably in Year 1 or Year 2
* A sound knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum and phonics instruction
* Strong behaviour management skills and classroom presence
* The ability to differentiate lessons to support children of varying abilities, including those with SEND
