We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional, reliable, innovative, and flexible individual to lead our dedicated team in Haematology and Blood Transfusion across ESNEFT laboratories at Ipswich and Colchester.
The successful candidate will manage staff within the Haematology and Blood Transfusion departments, potentially deputising for the Head of Operations when required. You will collaborate closely with Laboratory Managers, Compliance Managers, and the senior leadership team in Pathology. Your responsibilities include managing the scientific and technical operations of Haematology and Blood Transfusion specialties, leading on policy implementation, innovation, compliance, and best practices. You will serve as a specialist advisor on interactions with other services, oversee manual and automated investigations, manage stock control, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will also propose and implement policy changes and communicate complex information effectively to staff and clinicians.
Experience with UKAS and MHRA inspections is required, as our labs are MHRA compliant and UKAS accredited. You must be HCPC registered with higher qualifications relevant to the role, and have current experience in Haematology and/or Blood Transfusion, along with knowledge of accreditation standards.
Leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and a focus on staff development are essential for this role.
