Job Summary
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Event Assistant to support the coordination and delivery of a wide range of events. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach. This role involves both administrative and hands-on event support, ensuring all activities run smoothly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the planning, setup, and execution of events
* Provide high-quality customer service to guests during events
* Support the upselling of services and products where appropriate
* Help with venue setup including furniture, décor, and equipment
* Maintain a clean and organised environment throughout each event
* Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries or concerns
* Collect feedback from attendees to help improve future events
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and suppliers as required
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in hospitality, events, or customer service (e.g. hotels, restaurants) is preferred
* Experience supporting fundraising or charity events is an advantage
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure
* Clear and confident communication skills
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a good eye for detail
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
