Head of Design and Technology – Highly Regarded Croydon Secondary School (Starting September 2024)
We are a leading education recruitment consultancy working with a highly regarded secondary school in Croydon, South London. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Design and Technology to lead their thriving department from September 2024 (full-time, permanent position).

About the Role:
* Provide visionary leadership for the Design and Technology department, setting the strategic direction and ensuring its continued success.
* Develop and implement a stimulating and comprehensive curriculum that aligns with national standards and ignites students' passion for design and innovation.
* Lead a dedicated team of Design and Technology teachers, providing mentorship and fostering their professional development.
* Oversee all aspects of the Design and Technology department, including budgeting, resources, and health and safety.
* Monitor student progress, analyze data, and implement strategies to continuously improve learning outcomes.
* Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues across the school to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
We are seeking an individual with:
* A relevant degree in Design and Technology or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a minimum of 5 years' successful teaching experience in Design and Technology, ideally within a secondary school setting.
* Proven leadership experience, with a demonstrable track record of driving improvement within a Design and Technology department.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* A passion for design thinking, problem-solving, and fostering creativity in students.
* The ability to inspire and motivate young people, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
