First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a CNC Miller on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Setting of the Departments CNC machines
2. Ensure the control of CNC programs is management through a structured process
3. Create / Edit CNC programs to ensure the process run at optimum performance
4. Ensure all cutting tools and inspection gauges are managed in a controlled manner
5. Ensure all current machine set-up sheets are up to date and controlled
6. Create new set up sheets to support new / revised setting plans
7. Manage the requirement for new tools / gauges / fixturing as and when required
8. Lead and be part of CI projects to improve productivity within the machine shop
9. Liaise with the engineering department regards drawing issues / changes
Skills and Qualifications:
10. Experience of working in an engineering environment with Fanuc CNC Machines
11. CNC Milling time served or qualifications
12. Must have the ability to set machines on NPD parts
13. Have an understanding geometric tolerances and surface finishes
14. Ability to pre-set cutting tools
15. Be familiar with a wide range of material including non-ferrous, Aluminium, Stainless steels & castings

Salary: Up To £16.38 Per Hour + 25% Shift Premium
