As an Assistant Chef, you will be responsible for cooking and serving nutritious, healthy meals that our Residents will love. You'll provide outstanding support to our First Chef, taking charge in their absence. Whether you're managing food stock, optimizing your budget, coaching a colleague, or supervising kitchen clean-up, you'll always prioritize Resident wellbeing.
HC-One is looking for an Assistant Chef with at least a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and a good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. Beyond qualifications, we value your positive energy and ability to get along with people. You should be organized, able to meet deadlines, present food attractively, and follow recipes accurately. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, kindness and consideration are essential.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should be proactive in seeking advice and reporting concerns, including escalation if necessary.
