We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a growing business in Nottingham on a permanent basis. This role requires expertise in accounting and finance, with a focus on supporting financial operations and reporting. Our client is looking for someone who is Part Qualified and studying towards a professional accounting qualification. This is a fully office‑based role in Nottingham.
Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management review.
* Support the reconciliation of accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records.
* Monitor and manage financial transactions in line with company policies.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
* Maintain organized and up‑to‑date financial records and files.
* Contribute to process improvements within the finance department.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* A relevant qualification in accounting or finance.
