Senior Project Support Engineer - Hounslow
Location: Hounslow
Type: Full-time, on-site

Contract Duration: Initial 6 months +
Looking for an experienced SPSE. The desired candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering the implementation of various structured cabling, IT & infrastructure projects across the site.
Prior experience as a senior project engineer, with detailed knowledge of overseeing the installation of structured cabling, physical infrastructure, and active network equipment, is essential for this role. SMSTS/CSCS/ECS certifications are required (eligibility can be considered).
Responsibilities
1. Manage H&S of site works
2. Produce and maintain Project Plans
3. Produce RAMS for installation activities
4. Produce job packs and provide detailed information for internal engineers to complete surveys/installation works
5. Ensure responsibilities under CDM regulations as Principal Designer, Principal Contractor, or Contractor are discharged effectively, with a focus on site management and activity reporting
6. Ensure all works are carried out in line with the directions/stipulations laid out within the Construction Phase Plan (CPP)
7. Undertake operational inspections to ensure safe working practices are being adhered to and maintained
8. Liaise with all required internal and external stakeholders to effectively obtain permit approvals, project requirements, and permissions for works to proceed
9. Manage contractors and third-party suppliers
10. Collaborate with the design team and ensure design assurance (checking the implementation adheres to the design)
11. Identify and highlight H&S and implementation risks/issues to the Project Manager in a timely manner
12. Ensure quality assurance by verifying installation works are installed to the correct standards
13. Maintain awareness of the critical operational environment in rail or aviation sectors
14. Contribute to process improvements
Qualifications and Experience
* Clear knowledge and experience of delivering IT infrastructure projects within challenging operational environments and with multiple stakeholders
* Management of cabling and physical infrastructure installation in challenging environments
* Preferably experience working in a Principal Contractor role
* Preferably experience in rail or aviation, high-stakes environments
* Knowledge of network infrastructure and MPLS solution rollouts or similar
* Ability to demonstrate team management skills
Experience in aviation or rail is preferable but not essential. A working knowledge of CDM 2015 is required.
