Role Overview
The Higher Needs Floating Support Service is a newly commissioned service working with people in temporary accommodation or at risk of homelessness. The team collaborates with local authorities, health, treatment, and support providers to improve outcomes and work towards more settled accommodation for those facing multiple disadvantages.
Responsibilities
1. Assist the Floating Support Service Team Manager in providing high-quality, effective, and comprehensive support to the HNF team and clients.
2. Provide day-to-day leadership and line management to floating support workers.
3. Manage and allocate referrals from the Housing Support Register (HSR) across the wider HNFSS.
4. Promote effective team working and communication.
Candidate Requirements
1. Experience supporting people facing multiple disadvantages.
2. Knowledge of the Housing Support Register.
3. Leadership and management experience with floating support workers.
4. Experience in improving housing outcomes for homeless individuals.
5. Ability to build trust and demonstrate compassion, empathy, and passion.
6. IT literacy and ability to record and report information.
7. Ability to travel across Bristol.
