EFL Teacher – Eastbourne
Up to £19.50 per hour dependent on experience & qualifications held
Ad-Hoc Contract
You will teach English as a foreign language using the communicative method. You will enable students to practise and improve the four basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing: with a focus on real-life communication.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare lessons efficiently, assisting in first-day testing, placement, and induction as required.
2. Set and mark daily homework that is appropriate to the needs of the class.
3. Conduct fortnightly student tutorials, and record agreed goals.
4. Administer and mark monthly progress tests.
5. Monitor students’ progress.
Skills & Experience:
1. Experience of teaching in an EFL school or summer centre (Essential)
2. First Degree or higher + CELTA or equivalent (Essential)
3. Experience of working or living overseas (Desirable)
4. DELTA or equivalent (Desirable)
