In January 2024, York Campus Nursery relocated to Heslington East Campus, providing care for up to 94 children across nursery, toddler and pre‑school rooms.
Key Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day running of a nursery room
* Providing care and a stimulating learning environment for children
* Supervising staff and imparting knowledge and skills to others
* Implementing new ideas and strategies to continually improve practice
* Supporting the management team in daily operations
Qualifications
* Experience of supervising and motivating a team
* Excellent interpersonal communication and organisational skills
* Publicly recognised Level 3 qualification in childcare
Role Details
* Role One – 18 hours per week (Monday and Tuesday 9 am‑5.30 pm, Wednesday 9 am‑12 pm)
* Role Two – 19.5 hours per week (Maternity cover: Wednesday 1 pm‑5.30 pm, Thursday and Friday 9 am‑5.30 pm; until 9 October 2026)
Salary – £29,826.84 (£15.46 per hour)
