Applications are invited for the post of Business Systems Analyst in the University’s IT Department. We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our IT Department in a backfill capacity on a fixed‑term basis, while the University undertakes a major project to replace its Student Record System (SRS) and transform the operating model for Student Study Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team, supporting essential services that impact students and staff across the institution. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where your expertise will help maintain continuity and drive improvements during this period of transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day support to business users on queries related to student records and associated systems.
* Investigate and resolve issues involving UCAS, SLC, and UKVI integrations and regulatory submissions (HESA).
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure critical business processes continue to function effectively and meet performance expectations.
* Support testing and validation of platform upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
* Report issues and resolutions, process changes, and update documentation as needed.
* Liaise with other teams across the University and external partners to troubleshoot and escalation issues as needed.
Qualifications
* Experience supporting enterprise systems in a higher education or similar regulated environment.
* Familiarity with student records systems and integrations with UCAS, SLC, and UKVI.
* A good understanding of software testing practices and change management.
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a commitment to service excellence.
