We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join a growing technical team in Ayr. This is an exciting opportunity to work with market‑leading equipment both on‑site and in a dedicated workshop environment. The role involves a variety of tasks, from installing and servicing brine saturator plants to maintaining salt spreaders and snow ploughs. This is a day shift role working Monday – Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform scheduled maintenance and respond to breakdowns
* Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Log all activities and maintain accurate records
* Manage stock levels of parts and supplies
* Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical systems
* Interpret wiring diagrams and manufacturer manuals
* Complete work orders and document materials used
Required Skills And Qualifications
* Technical qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)
* Strong practical and hands‑on problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
* Willingness to travel at short notice across the UK
* Full UK driving licence
* IPAF certification (desirable but not essential)
* Automotive experience (beneficial but not essential)
