We are looking to appoint an experienced Charity Shop Manager to join our team of staff & volunteers. We are seeking someone who will oversee the safe and effective management of the shop and community work & who will work to further the mission of The Salvation Army & contribute to our community in an impactful way. Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities will include ensuring the highest standards of customer care, managing the daily operation of the shop including stock management and shop appearance including the prayer space, assisting with the community work where required, managing the security and accounting of cash, health and safety issues, safeguarding & administrative tasks, and the recruitment, training, management and supervision of volunteers & who will oversee the safe and effective management of the charity shop. The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate: Manage all aspects of the operational activities of the shop, ensuring that sales revenues are maximised and mission related objectives are successfully achieved Lead and set by example, the delivery of a culture of excellent customer service to deliver both sales and missional objectives and encourage repeat custom Previous experience in a retail environment and in managing volunteers and staff of all backgrounds & needs Proven interpersonal skills Good IT skills An ability to work on their own initiative and in a team A commitment to the values, aims and ethos of The Salvation Army Prioritising to a high standard In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.
