We are looking for a new person to join our team at a fast-paced GP practice covering two sites in Windsor and Eton. The role of the Patient Services Team covers the traditional receptionist role along with associated administrative work. You would be the face and voice of the Practice, assisting our patients in accessing appointments along with other requests and ensuring their records are up to date.
We are looking for a candidate to join us on a permanent basis. Hours will include early 8am starts and 6:30pm finishes. The hours are fixed as part of a well structured rota.
Hourly rate of pay: £12.30ph.
The ideal candidate will be someone who shows a keen initiative and is familiar with how GP practices work and provide a cover note explaining why you are interested at working in our surgeries.

Key responsibilities:
* Manage high volume of incoming calls from patients
* Ensure patient information is accurate and up to date
* Booking of appointments
* New patient registrations
* Provide administrative support to doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals within the practice
* Process repeat prescriptions and maintain accurate records of medication requests
* Participate in training and development activities to enhance knowledge and skills
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations at all times
* Other admin duties as required
The post holder will:
* Have strong organisational and administrative skills
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Have experience working with the general public
* Good IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and preferably practice management software
* Have a clear polite telephone manner
* Be effective in time management
* Ability to work as part of a team & under own initiative
* Follow policy and procedure
Qualifications:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
* Further education in a relevant subject is advantageous
Post holders may be asked to work outside their regular hours to cover any leave as necessary and will be DBS checked.
