Our compassionatemultidisciplinary team includes SLTs,Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists,Clinical Psychologists, AssistantPractitioners, Therapy Support and admin staff.This skill mix enables us to offerholistic and bespoke rehabilitation. We provide apathway of integrated care across theStroke Recovery Unit (acute and rehab) and theIntegrated Community Stroke Service(early supported discharge and community strokerehab up to 6 months). We are theonly therapy team across South Yorkshire andBassetlaw to work in this innovative anddynamic way. Our pathway provides a seamlesstransfer of care for stroke survivorsand their careers. We always put the strokesurvivor, their careers and the people we workwith, at the centre of every decision we make.
Main duties of the job
Working alongside a large multi-disciplinary team, we will support you to provide a high quality, efficient service to maximise peoples independence and function with the intention of facilitating and managing a safe and timely hospital discharge and ongoing rehabilitation. You will contribute to the national targets associated with this specialty i.e. SSNAP. We take the development of our staff seriously and will provide supervision within the role as well as supporting clinical and leadership skills development. CPD is encouraged and supported. Rehabilitation experience is desirable but not essential as appropriate training will be provided Applicants should be:
* Physically capable of assisting patients with exercises, mobility and daily livingactivities.
* Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across Rotherham and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. (If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010)
The post will be 5 days, Monday Friday. The post will include a contribution to the weekend and bank holiday rota.
