We also have a vacancy for a zero hours contract available. As a Catering & Hospitality Assistant, a typical day might include: You will be supporting the day to day running of the cafe and its services, offering great service and a space for people to enjoy. Welcoming people, taking orders and entering them into the ordering system. You will work closely with the café manager and cafe supervisor to deliver outstanding customer service. You will be preparing food & drinks in line with all regulations and standards, including Barista coffee (training provided if required). You will operate the cash register, accurately handling cash or cashless transactions and providing payment receipts You will maintain a hygienic environment by cleaning surfaces and equipment regularly, clearing tables and monitoring general cleanliness of the cafe. You will be ensuring stock is replenished and available for customers. You will be assisting with set up of the café and conferencing events, maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout all areas. You will ensure that hygiene standards and Health & Safety standards are maintained to a high level. You will work as part of a team to deliver an outstanding Campus experience. Some of the experience/skills we need to consider you: Experience of working within a food environment. Level 2 Food Safety or willingness to gain this quickly. Good verbal and written communication skills. You have a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance. You have pay keen attention to detail and have excellent problem-solving skills. Capable of working effectively within a team. What will make you stand out from the crowd: Experience of working in a catering or hospitality environment.
