Senior Occupational Therapist – Static ARTU
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Neuro-rehabilitation Team within the Acute Rehabilitation and Trauma Unit (ARTU). This is a unique opportunity to work in a hyperacute setting with a 10-bed specialised rehabilitation service, funded directly by NHS England, within the UHNM Major Trauma Centre. You will have close support and links with the Advanced Occupational Therapists and will be working as part of a therapy team supported by Physiotherapists and Therapy Technicians.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with complex neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury, prolonged disorders of consciousness, complex major trauma and spinal cord injury.
* Collaborate within a large combined therapies team to provide a wide range of learning and development opportunities.
* Receive supervision from an Advanced Therapist and participate in continuous professional development through appraisal, internal training and external learning.
Team & Setting
The role is based in the Acute Rehabilitation and Trauma Unit (ARTU), a 10-bed specialised rehabilitation service funded directly by NHS England within the UHNM Major Trauma Centre. The Trust operates across two sites – Royal Stoke in Stoke-on-Trent and County Hospital in Stafford – and serves around three million people.
