What you will do: Undertake statutory safeguarding duties, including leading and coordinating Section 42 enquiries under the Care Act 2014. Conduct proportionate risk assessments, formulate safeguarding plans, and perform Mental Capacity Act assessments, incorporating the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal throughout your practice. Manage a complex caseload involving safeguarding concerns such as self-neglect, domestic abuse, exploitation, and organisational abuse. Chair and contribute actively to safeguarding strategy meetings, case conferences, and multi-agency reviews. Person Specification Qualifications: A degree in Social Work or an equivalent recognised qualification is essential. Registration and Compliance: You must be registered with Social Work England and possess an enhanced DBS clearance. A strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and associated statutory guidance is required to excel in this role.
