Person specification Education Essential criteria Accountancy Degree, Part qualified accountant, or equivalent experience. Knowledge Essential criteria Understanding of NHS finance practices and procedures Practical knowledge of finance principles and procedures in the NHS or equivalent large organisation. Basic knowledge of costing principles. Desirable criteria Knowledge or application of NHS costing principles and procedures. Experience Essential criteria Experience of working in a busy Finance Department, ideally within NHS Finance, or an equivalent scale organisation. Experience of advanced features of excel, such as pivot tables and charts Desirable criteria Experience of NHS Costing and the production of the National Cost Collection Experience of databases Use of SQL either through formal training or evidence of experience. Experience of using Power BI Skills and Abilities Essential criteria Excellent reconciliation and data accuracy skills. High level of attention to detail.
