About the role
As a Partner on our service counters, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food while feeling proud of its ethical sourcing and recommending recipes to customers. You'll bring our ethos — passionate Partners serving food lovers — to life.
You will use your enthusiasm and friendliness to build lasting relationships with customers, positively influencing their perception of the Waitrose brand and earning their trust and loyalty. Additionally, you'll help maximize sales and profit.
Key Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for your food counter, maintaining high presentation and hygiene standards.
* Manage stock levels to ensure popular products are available.
* Handle open food with care, following all health & safety protocols and helping reduce food wastage.
* Stay informed about new products and understand Waitrose's food values, such as animal welfare.
* Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as needed.
Essential skills/experience
* Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.
Desirable skills/experience
* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* Experience in catering or hospitality.
* Knowledge of current food and drink trends.
* Flexible approach to support the branch.
Part-time, 22.5 hours per week, with various hours including early starts and late finishes.
