We are looking for an adaptable, confident and self-reliant individual to join as team at the North Pennines National Landscape as a Community Engagement Assistant for a period of 12 months with the possibility of an extension upon further funding being secured WHAT IS INVOLVED? You will support the delivery of the Land of Lead and Silver project to help deliver a varied and inspiring engagement, education and community event programme to hundreds of people, including young people, in and around the North Pennines. The role involves planning, developing, administration, delivery and evaluation of engagement against the activity plan, agreed outputs and evaluation framework. You will work closely with the Interpretation and Engagement Officer and support the Community Engagement Trainee. You will also be encouraged to influence current and future opportunities to increase this impact, whilst developing your own knowledge and gaining a wide range of skills and experience in engagement delivery. You will hold a Level 3 qualification and have significant experience of delivering community activities and events. You will have engaging communication skills for a wide range of people across different mediums and be extremely organised. You will need to be able to meet the travel demands of the post as you will be expected to travel around what is predominantly a vast rural area.
