About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Finance Paralegal to join our busy and highly regarded Real Estate Finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented legal professional to work on complex property finance transactions, supporting solicitors and clients in delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with all aspects of real estate finance transactions, including acquisition and development financing, refinancing, and secured lending.
* Draft and review ancillary finance documents such as certificates of title, undertakings, corporate authorisations, security documents, and facility agreements.
* Manage and review conditions precedent and conditions subsequent checklists.
* Undertake due diligence on real estate assets, including reviewing titles, leases, searches, and property reports.
* Prepare Land Registry and Companies House documentation and oversee filings and registrations.
* Liaise with borrowers, lenders, external counsel, and other parties involved in transactions.
* Support the coordination and smooth running of completions, including managing execution processes.
* Maintain accurate records and assist with file management, billing, and compliance procedures.
Requirements
* Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a paralegal within a real estate finance or secured lending team in a UK law firm or in-house legal department.
* Strong understanding of UK property law and banking practices related to real estate finance.
* Experience working on large-scale or high-value property transactions.
* Familiarity with Land Registry and Companies House procedures and forms.
* Excellent drafting, research, and organisational skills.
* Able to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
* Law degree or equivalent qualification required.
* LPC/SQE or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
