We are looking for a Financial Controller to be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our financial function. You will join a rapidly growing manufacturing SME, focused on supporting our customers with the development of innovative, value-add products, from engineering and technical support to high volume manufacturing. Our predominant industries are both Wind Energy and Automotive with a particular focus on the rapidly evolving EV market. Working directly with OEM’s we are a trusted advisor to all functions supporting our customers to lead in their field.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility of the accounting function.
- Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
- Plan and set-up payments.
- Run month end balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparing Monthly Management Accounts and board report.
- Prepare Year End Accounts and liaise with the external accountants.
- Supervising and developing Accounts team.
- Prepare annual R&D Tax claim
- Developing credit control strategies.
- Managing cash flow to provide sufficient working capital.
- Managing grants and other funding's.
- Budgeting and Forecasting to achieve the 1-5 year goals of the organisation.
- Represent Finance & Company Systems on the Senior Leadership Team.
- Setting budgets and financial goals, and working with all senior managers to keep the business on track to achieve the goals.
- Providing insights on the financial performance and health of the organisation.
- Working with other teams to identify cost reduction, revenue generating, process improvement opportunities, and to support them in the exploration of those opportunities.
- Ensuring that Financial Policies and Procedures are fully adhered to.
- Identifying Financial risks and suggesting mitigation measures.
ERP System
- Suggesting efficient and effective business processes and controls to adapt to changes in the business.
- General administration.
skills and Qualifications:
- Degree, HND (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or related field.
- CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist with strong relevant experience will be considered.
- Relevant experience in the manufacturing industry would be highly beneficial.
- In-depth and operational experience of SAP Business 1 a distinct advantage.
- High level of IT Literacy

- Resides within a commutable distance of Leamington Spa.
Remuneration Package:
- Salary of £65,000 to £75,000pa, depending on experience.
