Main Responsibilities:
* The role of the Site Specialist supports the Service Delivery of the central and local IT Services in the respective region. The Site Specialist will act as a Subject Matter Expert in Service Operations (RUN) and Solution Design & Implementation (BUILD) activities.
* The Site Specialist ensures a high quality and stable Service delivery and project execution onsite in the designated Omya locations, often in close cooperation with on-site Automation and Engineering staff to support the Plant Operation.
* Support the delivery of IT Services in Omya locations within their region.
* Support the execution of the projects.
* Act as Site Contact for the respective Omya location defined and provide or organise required hands & eye support
* Provide support for local IT/OT or facility applications
* Support the execution of local IT procurement tasks
* Ensure the readiness, maintenance, support and improvements for on-site server room and other IT facilities critical for the local IT&OT Service Delivery including but not limited to cabling, UPS, local security measures, air conditioning, fire protections etc
* Actively support the obsolescence planning and execution of local IT or OT hardware and systems DTX is responsible in aligned with the Service Owners and Service Managers, including budget planning.
Candidate Profile:
* Relevant IT education where practical experience can replace formal qualifications
* 3/5+ years of relevant IT experience, preferably with overlap into Operations Technology (SCADA/PLC)
* Familiarity with ITIL and accustomed to working within structured frameworks – ITIL v3/v4 certification is a bonus
* Experience with Cisco network operations, CCNA certification or equivalent is an advantage
* Knowledge of operation and setup of server and database infrastructure
* Languages: English mother tongue or fluent, any other language is a bonus

* Ability to travel (mainly within the country, occasionally overseas)
