Job overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated team lead or aspiring team lead to join our General Surgical team at the Princess Royal University Hospital. You will work closely with the clinical lead occupational therapist for Trauma & Orthopaedics. The service offers a dynamic and challenging clinical environment for a confident and skilled occupational therapist.
The surgical occupational therapy team provides assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning for patients admitted to general and specialist surgical wards, including colorectal surgery, urology, gynaecology, and vascular surgery.
We value multidisciplinary working and are looking for a creative occupational therapist to influence the development of occupational therapy, focusing on continuity of care, shared decision-making, and identifying barriers to discharge to facilitate patient flow.
We support continuing professional development to help staff develop their skills and knowledge. You will be encouraged and supported to enhance your clinical and teaching skills and contribute to in-service development.
Requirements: You must have a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered.
