Building Control Surveyor (Registered Building Inspector Class 2a and above)
In addition to the stated salary, this role includes a market supplement of £3,000 (reviewed yearly) and an essential car user allowance of £963.00 per annum, plus 40.9p per mile paid.

Responsibilities
* Work closely with Principal and Senior Building Control Surveyors to deliver high‑quality service to clients and discharge the Council’s statutory function.
* Make pragmatic and value‑based decisions on compliance with Building Regulations for a wide breadth of buildings.
* Drive forward new schemes within the Borough and effectively turn the Council’s vision into reality.
* Take decisions on allocated Building Regulation applications, Notices and matters allocated by the Building Control Manager.
* Enable the delivery of quality developments in line with legislation, industry performance guidelines and internal targets.
Qualifications
* Registered Class 2a building inspector minimum.
* Chartered (or working towards) professional (RICS, CABE, CIOB) with construction industry experience.
* Knowledge of Building Control relating to a wide breadth of buildings.
* Clean, current driving licence and use of own car.
