About the role: We are looking for a Shift Manager to work in our Restaurants & Quick Service Restaurants across the resort. Reporting to the Venue Manager, the Shift Manager will be responsible for ensuring daily operational plans are fulfilled by ensuring that relevant tasks and objectives are being carried out by the team and that the team is in the right place at the right time to manage fluctuating guest demand while keeping operational standards and guest experience high.
You will support and coach the team to ensure the delivery of a great experience and are also driving any key targets such as add-on sales or promotions. This is an operational guest-facing role and therefore non-guest facing tasks will be allocated as time within your working week to allow you to spend the majority of your time within your venue and with our guests. The role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, so flexibility is important. As with all roles at Butlin’s, no day will be the same and you will need to enjoy thinking on your feet, getting stuck in, and ensuring that our guest experience is always your number one priority.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coach the team to deliver a great guest experience while meeting key performance targets (e.g., add-on sales, promotions).
* Ensure daily operational plans are executed, with team members in the right place at the right time to meet fluctuating guest demand.
* Maintain brand standards and respond confidently in any situation while managing multiple priorities.
* Foster a positive, guest-focused environment and inspire the team to achieve excellent results for guests and the venue.
Required qualifications and experience
* Experience as a leader in a busy Food & Beverage environment (restaurant, bar, or retail) where speed and quality are balanced.
* Ability to train and coach teams in a fun, service-focused environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, engage, and manage teams during high-demand periods.
* Ability to direct and respond in any situation while upholding brand standards and delivering consistent service.
