Principal Engineer needed in Newbury. Paying £43,693 per annum. Ref 5272227
Full-time hours on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership on the maintenance and management of highway structures.
* Deliver feasibility studies, project plans, and cost estimates.
* Oversee design, strengthening, and improvement works in line with CDM regulations.
* Review third-party infrastructure proposals and provide expert guidance.
* Conduct abnormal load assessments and ensure structural integrity.
* Manage procurement, budgets, and contractor performance.
* Represent the engineering function in stakeholder meetings and deputise for senior leadership when required.
Desirable Qualifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Proven track record in delivering highway or infrastructure projects.
* Strong knowledge of structural standards, CDM regulations, and asset management.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
