The Jr. Production Worker / Technician is responsible for supporting the assembly and testing of products in a manufacturing environment. This role performs basic tasks under supervision and contributes to maintaining production quality and efficiency.\nThis job profile is intended for entry-level support staff who follow specific instructions and procedures, with supervision provided for non-routine situations. Tasks can be carried out after basic training or demonstration.\n Assist in assembling and testing products.\nFollow safety and quality procedures.\nReport defects and support troubleshooting.\nMaintain tools and workstations.\nDocument production activities.\nLearn and apply production techniques.\nSkills & Qualifications\nMay require basic vocational training (or equivalent work experience) and the ability to carry out assigned tasks after initial instruction or demonstration.\nBasic technical and mechanical skills.\nWillingness to learn and follow procedures.\nGood communication and teamwork abilities.\nAttention to detail and safety awareness. Manufacturing engineering apprentices will complete a 4-year Modern Apprenticeship programme involving both off-the-job and on-the-job training. The required elements for this programme are an SVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations, an NC in Manufacturing Engineering at SCQF Level 6, and an SVQ Level 3 in a relevant manufacturing pathway (eg CNC Machining, Fitting and Assembly)
