Morning: 7:30am – 9:00am

Afternoon: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
*
Monday to Friday (term time only)

Hourly Rate: £12.21 – £14.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
As a Breakfast / Afterschool Club Assistant, you’ll be supporting the delivery of fun, engaging, and safe wraparound care for children aged 4–11. You’ll help plan and run a variety of structured and free-play activities, supervise pupils, and support with snack times — all while maintaining a warm and secure environment that promotes positive behaviour and well-being.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is confident in encouraging creativity, teamwork, and independence through play.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervising and engaging with children during both morning and afternoon sessions
*
Supporting in the planning and delivery of a variety of age-appropriate activities
*
Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction
*
Preparing and serving snacks while maintaining hygiene standards
*
Ensuring the welfare, safety, and safeguarding of all children in your care
*
Assisting in setting up and tidying away activities and equipment
*
Reporting any concerns to the Club Leader or designated safeguarding lead
The Ideal Candidate Will:
*
Have experience working with children in a school, playgroup, or childcare setting
*
Be enthusiastic, approachable, and confident in building positive relationships
*
Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills
*
Be reliable, punctual, and able to use initiative when needed
*
Be fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children
*
Hold a valid Paediatric First Aid qualification (Essential)
*
Have a good understanding of UK English (written and spoken)
