Mechanical Design Engineer

Reporting to: Engineering Manager
Have you got 2+ years Design experience within Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing environments? If so, our client, a global design and manufacturing company delivering turnkey solutions for water, wastewater, and industrial sectors are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding Design team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to achieve project-specific design approvals. This role plays a key part in design liaison activities and includes attending internal and client-facing design review meetings as required.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate, detailed, to-scale drawings in line with industry and health & safety standards, including tank general arrangements, sheet projection/CNC drawings, access steelwork, and roof structure drawings using AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
Maintain drawing control through Vault for assigned projects and liaise with Sales and Contracts teams.
Calculate costs and apply engineering principles to assess feasibility of manufacture and construction.
Produce Manufacturing Lists for assigned projects.
Support Contracts Managers and site personnel with construction and tank installation technical matters.
Liaise with Production Planning and Manufacturing teams on fabrication details.
Create and modify high-quality technical drawings from supplied designs.
Experience
Previous experience working within a design team on detailed engineering designs.
Strong 3D CAD experience (Inventor experience is beneficial)
Experience working to tight deadlines.
Customer-facing experience.
High level of attention to detail.
