Support Worker – Accessibility Support (Hybrid, Northampton)
Location: Northampton (Hybrid – 1 days per week in office)
Duration: 6 months (no scope for extension at present; potential for permanency depending on future hiring needs)

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Support Worker to provide workplace assistance to a colleague with visual impairment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, engaged, and interested in accessibility, disability support, or education.
What you’ll be doing:
* Acting as workplace support for a colleague who is blind.
* Reading screens aloud, checking information for accuracy against screen reader output, and providing detailed feedback.
* Assisting with accessibility testing tasks and reviewing reports.
* Meeting and escorting to and from reception and around the building when on-site.
* Supporting during meetings and calls to ensure information is clear and accessible.
* Providing general administrative and PA-style assistance as required.
What we’re looking for:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Organised and dependable, with the ability to remain fully engaged during quiet periods.
* Clear communication skills and patience.
* A calm, professional manner – able to provide consistent support without stress.
* Previous experience in education, teaching assistant roles, or disability support would be beneficial but is not essential
* This is a junior-level position that offers valuable experience in accessibility and workplace support. It’s an excellent entry point for candidates interested in careers in disability services, accessibility, or administrative support.
