Job Title: Forklift Operative
Location: Tilbury, Thurrock
We are currently recruiting for a FLT driver on behalf of our fantastic client based in Tilbury Docks. This is working for an importer and supplier of paper, timber and other commodities.
Pay Rate:
* £13.88ph
Shift Patterns Available:
* Day Shift - 07:00 - 17:00 (1.5 hour unpaid break)
Working Schedule:
* Monday to Friday
Contract:
* 13-week temporary to permanent position
Job Responsibilities:
1. Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently for loading and unloading timber sheets.
2. Accurately picking and transporting timber products to designated storage areas.
3. Manual handling, including lifting, moving, and stacking goods securely.
4. Conducting detailed quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods to ensure they meet required standards.
5. Reporting any damaged goods or discrepancies promptly to supervisors.
6. Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organisation, ensuring workspaces remain safe and accessible.
