Catering Assistant - Enhanced DBS Required - Immediate Start
Blue Arrow is seeking dedicated Catering Assistants with an Enhanced DBS to support school catering teams in preparing nutritious meals for pupils and staff. If you thrive in a busy, child-friendly setting and take pride in maintaining excellent hygiene standards, we'd love to hear from you!
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 2:00pm (some flexibility may apply)
Pay: £12.21 - £12.60 per hour
Contract: Ongoing temporary assignment
DBS: Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) required prior to start (we can assist with this process - charges apply)
Your Key Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation and portioning
* Serve meals and drinks efficiently and courteously
* Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
* Maintain cleanliness in food prep and dining areas
* Organise and store ingredients safely
* Accept and unpack deliveries
* Clear tables and keep dining spaces tidy
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 6 months' experience in a kitchen or catering role
* Food Safety Level 1 certificate (free training available)
* Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) - mandatory
* Strong team player with ability to work independently
* Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
* Reliable, friendly, and punctual
