PETROINEOS: Refining Our Talent - Developing Your Future We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer on a Temporary Full Time basis (37.5 hours per week) to join the Offsites Engineering Team at our Grangemouth site. Within the Off-Sites Engineering Support Team the purpose of the role is to develop and implement Asset Care Policy for predominantly Piping, Tankage and Loading Equipment assets. The post holder will be responsible for regulatory compliance and the implementation of new and changing standards. Purpose of the role Provision of mechanical discipline engineering to ensure required technical input to deliver integrity, safety and reliability of maintenance, plant modification and operation of the Asset. Authorise and provide scopes where necessary for repair programs resulting from inspection reports to ensure that the Asset plant integrity standards are delivered.Define the engineering workscope requirements associated with Asset Interventions for emergent repairs or catalyst works to ensure plant downtime is minimised and works carried out as required to deliver future asset operational performance.Develop, recommend, and install (where appropriate) engineering improvements for the asset equipment to achieve the agreed asset improvement targets.Responsible for the compilation of the work-list for respective discipline for Asset cycle ending TAR that will deliver future integrity and reliability targets. Key Skills/Experience Requirements:
1. Mechanical Engineering Degree
2. Chartered engineer or equivalent experience
3. Relevant technical experience e.g. in a downstream refining, petrochemical industry or upper-tier COMAH process industry
4. Good oral and written communication skills.
5. Able to work well in multidisciplinary teams and at all levels in the organisation including operations/maintenance personnel, engineers and management
6. Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
7. Strong commitment to health and safety of self and others, with ability to influence others safety behaviours and attitudes
8. Adept in dealing effectively with conflicting demands and priorities and managing personal time
9. Ability to challenge the norm and fixed assumptions
