Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated registered Nurse to join a busy and well respected Integrated Learning Disability Service covering the Lancashire locality. This role offers a wide‑range experience of community services for people with learning disabilities and a commitment to health promotion through service development and training initiatives.
The Service strives to provide forward‑thinking high‑quality services, working in partnership with other agencies and supporting families and carers. We are committed to staff development and operate as an enthusiastic, experienced multi‑disciplinary team based across 3 sites (Darwen, Accrington, and Burnley).
Applicants must have a valid National Certificate of Registration as a Nurse (or equivalent), up‑to‑date knowledge of health policy for people with learning disabilities, and experience working with complex needs and challenging behaviour. Evidence‑based, innovative practice, good communication, adaptability, and self‑motivation are essential.
Essential requirements include possession of a full driving license and a willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
Responsibilities
* Provide community nursing services to adults with learning disabilities.
* Work closely with families, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
* Collaborate with external agencies to promote health and wellbeing.
* Support service development and training initiatives.
* Maintain evidence‑based, innovative nursing practice.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (or equivalent) with National Certificate of Registration.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of health policy for people with learning disabilities.
* Experience working with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
* Evidence‑based and innovative practice skills.
* Good communication skills, adaptability, and self‑motivation.
Additional Information
* Flexible working patterns (term time, part time, compressed hours, flexi‑time) are considered.
* Transport (driving licence) is essential.
* Enhanced DBS check is required.
