GCSE Maths Outreach Tutor
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated GCSE Maths Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people who are currently not attending school or require after school support in Bromley.
As an Outreach Tutor, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons to support students up to GCSE level, helping them bridge gaps in their learning and improve confidence and attainment. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or tutor who wants to move away from the traditional classroom setting and provide personalised, engaging lessons.
Many of the pupils you will work with may have been out of education for some time, so building rapport and re-engaging them in learning will be key. You will play an important role in restoring structure to their routine and boosting their confidence in Maths.
Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor progress and ensure effective learning outcomes for each student.

5. Duration / Likely Duration – Dependent on each student

7. Contract type – Temporary
8. Full time/part time – Flexible (afterschool or during school day)
9. Minimum rate of pay – £25 per hour
10. Hours – Between 1 and 15 hours per week (varies based on student needs)
11. Session length – Minimum 1 hour, maximum 3 hours per session
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
12. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, PGCE or equivalent
13. Experience teaching Maths up to GCSE level
14. Minimum 6 months experience working in a UK school
15. Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
16. Hold Right to Work in the UK
17. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
18. Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
