Job Title: Adults Clinical Psychologist
Location: Care First – Pheasey, Walsall area, Birmingham. The Clinical Team will support services across sites within Walsall, Kings Norton and Walsall.
Salary: up to £60,000 depending on experience plus £3,000 Welcome Bonus (payments of £1,500 after one month and £1,500 after completion of final probation period). Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours to overlap with core school hours. Part‑time hours may be considered. Contract: Permanent (term time only or flexibility around full-time can be discussed).

Responsibilities
* Provide bespoke assessment and intervention plans for adults with learning difficulties/disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.
* Work within a multidisciplinary clinical team embedded in education services to maximise clinical outcomes.
* Contribute to service development within MDT structures, ensuring quality assurance and alignment with governance.
* Support CPD goals with a £2,000 training allowance after probation to complete role-specific training.
* Participate in supervision, training, and dissemination across the North Region clinical CPD network.
* Develop formulations and inform clinical interventions; deliver training to varied cohorts; write coherent clinical records and reports.
* Lead or contribute to service evaluation to demonstrate and improve outcomes; exercise independent clinical decision making when appropriate.
* Engage in safeguarding culture and contribute to an empowering, pupil/adult-centered environment.
* Travel as required on company business and maintain a full driving licence and access to a car.
Essential Criteria
* HCPC registration.
* Doctoral level degree in Clinical, Counselling, Forensic, or Educational Psychology (or equivalent if qualified prior to Doctorate introduction).
* Experience in related settings or with the target client group; effective multidisciplinary collaboration; strong communication with families/carers.
* Experience across different organisational systems (service development, group and individual work).
* Experience using a model of assess, plan, do, review; experience with consultation as a service delivery method.
* Competence in core areas of psychological practice and knowledge of trauma-informed practice and neurodiversity.
* Ability to develop formulations, deliver training, and write clear clinical records and reports.
* Excellent communication, IT skills, time management, and organisational abilities; ability to prioritise multiple demands.
* Willingness to travel and hold a full driving licence.
Desirable
* Experience with neuro-diverse and/or social, emotional and mental health client groups in school or residential settings.
* Experience providing supervision to others.
* Post-qualification training in related topics and evidence-based interventions.
