The Norfolk and Suffolk Skills Bootcamps programme, funded by the Department for Education, aims to address regional skills gaps and recruitment challenges. It offers flexible, employer-led training in sectors such as construction, digital, engineering, early years, and health and social care. This year, funding supports over 1,400 learners to develop their careers and help businesses enhance productivity.
Your role and responsibilities
Within the Skills Bootcamp team, you will:
1. Broker initial links with employers requiring training
2. Lead contract management activities and meetings with Skills Bootcamp providers, maintaining oversight and recording delivery information to identify risks
3. Track progress, delivery standards, and data submissions in line with KPIs
4. Present to senior leaders and government officials in skills forums and grant management meetings
You will need
A strong understanding of the skills and employment landscape in Norfolk and Suffolk, experience in brokering partnerships between employers and training providers, excellent communication and presentation skills, confidence in contract management, data tracking, risk assessment, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. A proactive, flexible approach and a passion for improving learner outcomes and supporting economic growth are essential.
