Job Description: The Transport Team Leader will work at our busy B&Q site in Doncaster. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient planning and running of the transport operation. This is a full-time, permanent position with an any 5 from 7 shift pattern. Weeks one and two are Monday to Friday and week three is Sunday to Thursday (rotating every three weeks). Hours of work are 14:00–22:00.
What You’ll Do
* Lead and work as a team to deliver operational performance and maintain site systems and operational processes.
* Ensure the efficient planning and running of the operation, including supporting people management processes and managing a team of core drivers, agency staff and support staff.
* Effectively support the Transport Shift Manager to ensure KPIs are delivered in line with targets.
* Collaborate with the management team to ensure optimum performance and efficiency, building positive working relationships with direct reports, peers and 3PLs.
What You Need To Succeed At GXO
* Experience of working within a complex transport environment.
* Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment and planning and organising skills within a transport operation.
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
* Willingness to take responsibility, demonstrate commitment and lead by example.
Pay, Benefits And More
You will be paid a salary of up to £30,000 per annum.
