Assembly Technician
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician on full time permanent basis in Herefordshire. You will be supporting the mechanical assembly design, prototyping, and testing activities within our client’s cutting-edge defence projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing high-precision components and systems, utilising expertise in prototype assembly.
What you can expect:
* Working hours: Office hours with some flexibility on start and finish times
* Salary: from – from £30’000 - £40’000 per annum, candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
* Location: rural Herefordshire
* Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

What you will be doing:
* Support and assist prototype assembly, testing, and validation to meet project requirements
* Work closely and collaboratively to troubleshoot and refine mechanical designs
* Provide input on manufacturing processes, material selection, and tolerances
* Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with specifications
* Support electrical hardware integration, including basic wiring and component assembly (desirable)
What we are looking for:
* Prior experience within a technical assembly environment, soldering would be an advantage however not essential
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation
* Requirement will be subject to an enhanced security clearance
* Trustworthiness, efficiency and reliability
* Driving licence and own transport due to rural location
