We are seeking to strengthen our team by recruiting a Production Quality Assurance (QA) to support our Technical team.

Responsibilities
· Defects – photo and manual
· Waste QA – check waste % in the waste bin after graders.
· Bag seal check.
· Use of tablet for QA tasks
· Understanding the customers different products /packaging
· Different tray size and colour for different customers and products
· Daily Tally for report to be compiled for QA checks completed.
· Colour coding for depot days.
· Date coding - cross check against retail sheets how to check label and bag against it.
· Shelf life samples to be collected.
· Basic traceability understanding.
· Scale verification check.
· Glass checks and how to deal with breakages /problems.
· Temperature checks on product.
· Temperature probe weekly calibration.
· Chlorine check – carrot wash only.
· Barcode check – cross check the information against the retail code sheet.
· How to do cut test - knife handling (CCP) where applicable.
· Toolbox checks – check that all equipment that should be in place is in place.
· Carrying out internal GMP
EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES
Experience in a Quality or Technical role within the food industry is essential
Ideally previous experience or knowledge of working to BRC and retail customer standards
The ability to communicate effectively with all staff members
Highly numeric with strong data and statistical analysis and written reporting skills
Good multi-tasking skills
Ensuring right first time culture
Confident, professional and tenacious
You will be comfortable working in a chilled food processing environment

Working hours:
4 on 4 off shift pattern, 40 hours a week.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.64 per hour
