TeachMatch Recruitment is currently recruiting for a SEN Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic team at a well-respected SEN school in Derby.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons for students with a range of SEN, ensuring an inclusive and accessible learning environment
Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to provide the best possible support for each student
Create a positive, nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes emotional, social, and academic development
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students
Ensure the school's policies on safeguarding and wellbeing are upheld at all times
What We're Looking For:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
Experience working with students with special educational needs (preferred but not essential)
Strong understanding of different learning needs and how to adapt teaching approaches accordingly
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach to teaching
Passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential
