About the role
The HR Business Partner will work strategically and operationally across our UK Sites, collaborating with key stakeholders you will proactively identify areas where HR can add value, and lead solutions in support of strategic goals and operational business performance.
You will have exposure to all generalist areas including: Organisation Development, Resourcing, Succession/Talent Planning, Learning & Development, Operational HR, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations and Employment Law.
As part of the UK HR team, the post holder will:
* Assist the HR Director by executing activities that will deliver the People Strategy.
* Actively contribute to the development, implementation and management of the overall business plan and objectives, delivering from a people perspective.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures enabling IQE to attract, develop and retain high performing employees.
* Deliver solutions for tactical people issues, using expert advice and ensuring consistency in the application of policy, processes and practice
* Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to develop their skills and confidence in managing HR issues
* Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to management providing timely support for all generalist HR activities associated with the employee life cycle and where required support with administrative processing
* Support key stakeholders to drive a performance culture, creating and co-delivering L&D programs to improve overall business performance.
* Actively manage and address absence, assisting and supporting colleagues back to work as quickly and safely as possible, including working with our benefits providers and occupational health service.
* Understanding and anticipating the need for change, diagnosing the underlying risks, issues and building the case for change with stakeholders, and managing the people impacts of change activity.
* Supporting continuous improvement by leading and driving the delivery of HR initiatives
* Lead and participate in HR Projects connected to our People Strategy
* Contribute to the successful use of performance management systems.
* Support diversity and inclusion initiatives by promoting a diverse and culturally competent work environment.
* Work with the wider HR Team to prepare and analyse HR metrics
About you
* CIPD qualification or equivalent
* Extensive experience of providing HR advice and support to Line Managers on matters relating to discipline, grievance, performance management, absence and policy issues.
* Excellent employment law knowledge
* Ability to be proactive and work on own initiative.
* Accuracy and attention to detail, whilst working under pressure.
* Proven ability to work with ambiguity and retain strong organisational and multitasking skills.
* Able to operate in a confidential and sensitive manner, demonstrating compassion and understanding where applicable.
* Strives to continually improve processes and procedures.
* Competent user of Microsoft Office and HR information systems
* Demonstration of high standards of customer service and support and experience within an HR office environment
* Commitment to Continuing Professional Development
* Ability to manage stakeholders in a positive and productive manner.
* Experience of working within a highly technical, innovative, manufacturing or engineering business will be advantageous.
