Senior Support Worker Stoke-on-Trent (ST11)
£13.40 per hour | 26 hours per week | Two-week rolling rota
(7am8pm | two long days per week | every other weekend off)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join a residential service for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and physical disabilities in Stoke-on-Trent.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will combine hands-on care with leadership responsibilities. You will be guiding colleagues, mentoring new staff, and helping to create an environment where both service users and staff can thrive.
What You Will Be Doing
* Leading by example and supporting colleagues on shift
* Acting as a key worker and reviewing personalised care plans
* Providing personal care with compassion and dignity
* Administering medication safely and accurately
* Supporting independence, activities, and meaningful community involvement
* Mentoring new staff and contributing to rota planning and handovers
What We Are Looking For
* Previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Worker, Carer, or Healthcare Assistant (essential)
* Confidence supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviour
* Natural leadership skills with strong communication abilities
* Flexibility and reliability to work a rolling rota including weekends
* A caring, resilient nature with a good sense of humour
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to the service location and community access needs
