Role Overview
Mobile Air Conditioning / Multi‑Skilled Engineer supporting the SWR rail contract across London and the Southwest.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on air conditioning, mechanical, electrical and building fabric systems.
* Maintain, repair and fault‑find AC systems including split systems, VRV/VRF and heat pumps.
* Carry out installations, upgrades and minor modifications where required.
* Ensure all work complies with current legislation, safety standards and company procedures.
* Communicate clearly with customers, colleagues and contractors to ensure smooth service delivery.
* Accurately complete electronic job records, reports, RAMS and compliance documentation.
* Support continuous improvement by identifying improvements to equipment performance, reliability and efficiency.
* Provide excellent customer service and proactively identify maintenance or H&S concerns.
* Participate in the on‑call rota for emergency works.
Working Pattern & Flexibility
* Core hours: 08:00 – 17:00
* Flexible working arrangements where operationally possible
* Shared on‑call standby rota
Essential Experience & Skills
* Experience in commercial maintenance or facilities management
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation
* Ability to plan and prioritise workload
* Digital job management capability
* Full UK driving licence
* Customer‑focused, professional manner
Role‑specific Qualifications
Air Conditioning / HVAC
* NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning or Refrigeration
* F‑Gas Certification
Electrical (if applicable)
* NVQ Level 3 or Electrical Apprenticeship
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent)
