An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance in a renowned Not for Profit organisation in Liverpool on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will support and motivate a small to medium-sized finance team alongside the day-to-day finance responsibilities.
As the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in developing the budget and financial planning processes for the organisation.
Key responsibilities of the Head of Finance:
* Oversee, review, and promote adherence to budgets for each Directorate and Department.
* Interpret complex financial information and prepare and present updates to stakeholders.
* Monitor and steer the organisation's procurement activity, including purchase order and invoice payment processes, ensuring procurement aligns with organisational aims and objectives.
* Conduct annual spend analysis to identify savings, efficiencies, and areas needing procurement attention.
* Provide the Leadership Team with timely and accurate financial information and lead on financial risk assessment and mitigation.
Required skills and experience:
* Holds a recognised accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
* Approachable, supportive, and engaging leader.
* Proven ability to manage a team.
* Experience in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to design and implement financial management structures and systems.
* Ability to analyse, manage, and present complex financial information at senior management level.
